Definately, however on my old 4x burner, I remember having an error rate of 1500 rather than that number of PI (light blue) errors. It's reading atm on an ATA 33 cable in that drive, and the error rate is extremely low - averaging 100 for the upper column, 6 for the lower one. Would this just be because its reading so slow?

EDIT: dma mode 2 - haven't got an 80 conductor cable handy.
