I have a coolermaster with phase-change thermally conductive compound.

I would like to take the heatsink off to unlock my cpu.

Does anyone know if the thermal compound can be reused? I would rather do this than buy a new heatsink.

welcome to the forums

you cannot reuse phase change compound or pads. scrape off all the gunk and get some artic silver which is superior to most phase change compounds (the thermo engine stuff is an exception)

if you plan to overclock then invest in a new heatsink such as a thermal right sk6, coolermasters are not good for seroius overclocking
