I just got my new Visiontek GeForce2Ti card and I LOVE IT!!! Maybe it's because I just went from a tnt2m64 to this I don't know but it's awsome. I haven't ran it in 3dMark yet but here's a screen of QuakeIII with all the settings as high as they can and I'm still getting an average of 70fps! I got it for about 140$ (that's including tax).

Unfortunetly I don't have a digital camera so I had to use a pic from the web.

ya as soon as I can stick a blorb on that thing I'll really oc it. Does anyone know how to increase the RAM voltage on a vid card? It isn't too high of a scorer in 3dMark2k1 but it screams in the actual games. I get around 75-100 fps in Unreal with everything maxed out! I would try Max Payne but I'm loaning it to someone right now.
Dont forget to add ramsinks and be very careful about the Artic Silver II or Epoxy if that spreads on the card.. You've juss killed it!

Try setting the games priority to real time, and check the frame rates then, I can get 160 out of my voodoo!(QIII)

Hi,
have you tried to overclock it? Can you tell me how many layers has the Visiontek PCB? You know the reference board?

how do you set the priority exactly? i remember there was a program that i used to run with cpuburn to set the priority, but i'm not sure how that'd run with games and all.

That gainward looks awsome.. Problem is nothing in my computer is red except for things showing up in my monitor.. I like blue :)

Hmm, this is wierd. I compared my scores to yours, and my old MX actually beat's your Ti200 in one of the test's...
Game 1 - Car Chase - High Detail:
My system got 24 FPS
Your system got 23 FPS
I know this isn't much and it's only in one out of many test's but still... This is odd

hmmm that is weird. What is your fsb at? Mine's only at 100 and I also have folding going during all of this! Anyway as I said above this thing isn't the greatest at 3dMark but it rocks in actual video games!

damn, nice card )-(itman!! I guess im the only one left with the good old TNT2 M64. Would anyone reccomend a good card for $80? im only 14 and dont have a job yet

there are tons of great cards out there for less than 80bucks, RadeonLE, or 32mbDDR(pretty much the same, simple program downloads can equalize performance) 50-70$, Geforce2 GTS 70-100$, KyroII 67$......performance in 3D are about the same for all theese, but the Radeon wins in 2D, and the Kyros 2D is still much better than the Geforce2 (the only problem with the Kyro is that it has no T&L so #dmarks will be low, as other gaems in the future).....

I still have the m64:) That thing is actually a good card for what it's worth. It's actually going back in my rig when I give my new rig to my friend(he's buying it from me). I'm just "testing" it for him;). For $80 you'd prolly best go w/ a radeon. I'm sure someone that actually knows more on the radeons can tell you which one to get.

Wow! What's going on here? I'm beating a GF3 Ti200! LOL :D I'm running 10X146MHz..... I bet it's that Intel CPU
EDIT: Ahh sh*t! I just saw you are running @ 1600x1200 :(
EDIT Again: Is that a GeForce2Ti or a GeForce3Ti?

11-13-01, 06:39 AM
It's a GeForce2 Ti. Ya I hate this stupid Intel fsb that's stuck at 100X15. Can't oc either it's completely locked(store bought). My other rigs coming though and when I put it together I'll stick this thing in that.

I've heard those GeForce2 Ti overclocks extremely well, how high can you get yours? And what's the default?

default is 250/400. I haven't really tried oc'ing yet because my case has horrible airflow in it. When I get my new system I'll really test it:) Right now I can get it up to 275/450 completely stable and stock cooling. Today I'm going to run it with the case sides off and see how it does.
Cool! Please keep me update. I might buy one of these....
Clock on! :)

I'm just letting you know that it'll probably be a week or two before I get good results. My stuff for my new rig is in the mail but I'll be sure to post my results!

I did some oc'ing(not serious oc'ing) to 275/400 and I now get around(maybe a little above) 85fps on average!

Im still on Windows ME becuase I can make my 558.1 faster than my friends 675 Athalon, but to the point...If ur in windows 2000, you can use the task manager thing, its got all of the programs, the priorities, and threads, and if you right click on them, you can change it. If on windows 9x/me, go to voodoofiles.com and theres a program there like the windows 2000 task manager. Its free but its got bugs, like reporting the virtual memory wrong, other than that, its good. Try it! Also make sure you have vsinc turned off, or it will only go the refresh rate of ur monitor.

do you happen to remember what the program name is? I'm too tired/lazy right now to search for it.
BTW does anyone know a program that can change the voltage on a video card?

I believe he isn't talking about a program, I think he's talking about the Windows 2000 Task Manager.

Just want to let everyone know I did edit that quote by making the word like in caps. I did it just to show what I was talking about. Hope you're not mad KLowD;)

I have the Gainward GeForce3 Golden Sample and have been thinking about a window mod just so I can look at that red pcb. :D But, then that means I need to buy the tools to make the cuts. Maybe I will check out www.pcmods.com for a replacement panel with the hole cut... anyone ever dealt with them for that?
