Looks amazing. WoW killer to say the least.

I hate GW. Why can't they just die off as a company? I seriously wish harmful, horrible things to happen to WHO.

On a side note, perhaps it might bring other to the TTWG scene, but I doubt it. The DoW only seemed to bring table top gamers to the computer rather than vice versa.

Can someone help me out with those acronyms ^? Feel like I'm back in basic training.

I read about the game and it sounds really cool. Your avatar ages as you level. Could be done in a patch to other MMO's, but it sounded like a cool feature.

WoW Killer? Oh no he didn't. I think you're exaggerating a game you have never played. Blizzard has a history of makingthe best games ever made, I don't recall one game that got below even a 90/85! Plus there is a WoW expansion that will bring WoW oldtimers back.

I love GW games, the Space Hulks were some of my favorites. I've been following this game for years, but not sure how much it changed since Mythic was placed as the dev.

I'm more leery about Mythic developing the game. DAoC was my favorite MMO until Mythic screwed it so badly.

GW = Games Workshop - Evil money grubbing British company that would rather destroy and replace their customers than respond to feedback appropriately.

WHO = Warhammer Online - An online version of a crappy TTWG.

TTWG = Table top war game - Sort of like D&D but instead of one character, you control an entire army. Less attention is given to the individual soldier.

EDIT: Forgot one...
DoW = Dawn of War - PC game that closely mimics the TTWG atmosphere. Actually quite nice to play. Too bad it's GW's product.

Naw, WoW doesn't need anything to kill it off, it will do it by itself. Yes, I have played WoW.

I'm looking forward to WAR, just to see how it turns out. If it's good, I'll play it. If it's bad, there is no shortage of MMO's to keep my interest.

I agree and yes I have played to, a couple of 60's lvl'ed, get boring fast, plus Blizz customer support stinks.

Back on topic, Warhammer looks like a great game, but it also looks like a WoW knock-off with better graphics. I will wait after release a while to see how it goes, then maybe get it if reviews and gameplay is good.

Dawn of War was one of the best RTS games I have ever played. Too bad every game you think of mimics something, or had a downside.
As for WHO...well, well see.
And WoW killing itself...well lets see what Burning Crusade brings

WHOL is going to kill WOW for sure.

Why? I hate to say this...But GW had held this game back to revamp due to the MMO 'crack' to scourge our pathetic souls....So that they can revamp and create something even more addictive than WoW.

GW may be money grubbing ********...and pretty much suck with Table-Top gaming these days...But in all honesty...These ******** are creating something mindblowing.

(I used to play a lot of table top...I stopped buying GW items..I play some FOW..and WW2 table tops from time to time..but I gave it up...None the less..I support WHOL!)

More than likely, Pookyman. Really, DoW Captured my interest, and it was puirely by accident. I've been a long time Relic fanboi(Own all their games.. except impossible creatures, and that new Xbox360 one)

Hey I loved Dawn of War, but saying that it's going to kill WoW when you have a few screenshots and a brief plot summery is impractical

The BEST MMo in history will come when the folks at origin/EA update and release UXO.

That was seriously the best MMO demo I have ever experienced. Real time combat FTW! Dodging, countering, and parrying with your own controlls made me smile inside. And the the most impressively rendered landscape using the unreal engine was quite intense :)

Just an FYI, there has been an internet controversy going on for quite some time regarding Warcraft stealing Warhammers look, not the other way around. The WH characters in the trailers look pretty much like the tabletop characters that have been around for decades.

My guess, WoW will still continue to be more popular since Warhammer looks to be more PvP oriented. But that's good news to most around here. Just hope they can make it work.

since Warhammer looks to be more PvP oriented

If that's true I could almost guarantee a lot of WoW players would leave to play this game. I remember one of the biggest complains was lack of pvp on towns like in the beginning.

WoW is meh

warhammer online is made by Mythic who made DAoC an awesome mmorpg, but after some nerfs and several expansions the community kinda quite

but DAoC had the best pvp (rvr realm verse realm) i have ever seen. probably the best in any mmorpg.

And it is still one of the biggest complaints. If I'm still playing an MMOG, I will seriously consider leaving for Warhammer. My guild has decided to have non BG PvP raiding for DKP. Were going to try and stir the pot and get people out of instances and defend our PvP raiding.

I think the DoW is a great game, so I'm expecting this WH to be a good game also.
The TTWG rule!)
