I need some help overclocking my AMD System Here are my System Specs:
AMD 1.4Ghz
Soltek SL-75KAV Motherboard
Thermaltake Mini Super Orb with thermal paste
Kingmax 128 Mb PC133Mhz Ram
Acer CD-RW 42x12x8
32 Mb Riva TNT 2
Windows XP

I was just wondering how much will i be able to overclock with the current system. Any help would be appreciated

1.4 should do 1.5 or maybe a little more. But your cooler is not so good.

If you really want to push that chip you'll have to address the cooling issue.

What temps are you running at the moment??

Indeed. I have that same cooler and I hate it with a vengeance. I'm going from that cooler to watercooling with a bong and from Win98 to Linux. I hold win98 on par with the mini copper orb and Linux on par with a bong watercooling system. Did you read that reveiw at Overclockers Café that gave it a 10/10 and didn't have a price listed? Me too.

My CPU temp is 56 Degrees when running games and when on idle 53 Degrees

Save yourself the trouble of replacing a burnt CPU & get a nice HSF. The front page of Overclockers.com has a great list of HSFs that will fit almost any budget.

What the helll is up with is "burning in" that i've read before somewhere, Does it affect the cpu temp and the cpu its self and is it a good idea.
