hey, please try to bear with me if i sound stupid (i have never done this before). i am trying to overclock a K6-3 400mhz chip on a FIC PA-2013 board, with no luck so far. i couldn't believe that all i had to do was change the jumper setting on the board but i went ahead and gave it a try. i tried 100mhz @ 4.5x, 112mhz @ 4x, and even 95mhz @ 4.5x. the last one gave me a windows protection error (which i may be able to fix be reloading windows w/ those settings, right?), but all the rest locked up on startup and when i tried to reset the machine it sounded as if it booted up but my monitor told me that there was no signal or it was disconnected, help...or if there is a good place i could go to enlighten myself...

You will probably have to raise the core voltage. There should be a jumper to do that also.

You better have a good heatsink on that K63 before you do that.

You should be able to get at least 450 out of that chip.
