Okay I have made a 1.4GHz computer for a friend. I have him sitting at 1480@140FSB. He is using a thermotec heatsink and a 7000RPM delta screamer. I am using thermal grease, and under full load his temps are 50C. Is that to high, or should it be fine. He uses his computer 24/7. I was just wondering if I just take a little off?

How are you getting the full load? Mine is full load (F@H2) at 53 but I have my computer in a very warm room. I am going to get a better heatsink and hopefully get to below 50.

SETI@home is what is running 24/7. So you think it should be fine?

That's an ok temp...you want to try to keep it below 60C for safety reasons. Otherwise, if it's stable, then there isn't really a problem. :)

dont worry,my 1.2Athlon was running at temps of 70c-80c until i took action on it and never did any thing to it.So i think 50 sounds about right.
