From what I have seen they have done good, but certain mobos don't read right on the Booster so beware.

Should I get it the ddrbooster or forget it ? PSU has -5v line.

You'll need to do the Vtt mod in order to utilize a higher Vdimm than 2.8v... Vtt doesn't track correctly above 2.8v on the IC7, IC7-G, or IC7 MAX3, as it should be 1/2 of the Vdimm.

ABIT IC7 – IC7-G – IC7 MAX3 ALL in one Modifications

The DDR Booster won't work w/ the MAX3 at > 2.8v until after you do the Vtt mod... I've tried it myself and failed.
