well I had to rma my ram yesterday so I'm using one of my brothers sticks right now until he gets home from school, then I will probably head to bestbuy to borrow some ram, so anyone know if they have any decent 1gig kits for me to use for the time being?

DO NOT BUY IT.

goodness gracious is it expensive.

We will go off memoryexpress for arguments sakes today. a 1gb stick of kingston(second cheapest ram stick) is $112 or so. Now bestbuy not on sale sells 512mb of no name crap brand ram for around $80.

It's like buying a hard drive from staples. They have 140gb SATA drives for $130... whilst you can goto any good pc store and pay $114 for a 250gb.

edit... my mistake prices changed. lmao they got cheaper but still no deal

www.salescircular.com and www.saleshound.com give local prices, but they often leave out Fry's.

I try to avoid Best Buy and CompUSA, two of the most crooked merchants in my area.
