I'm going to give my ex/daughter my P3 800 and build my own non-intel:D system. About the only thing I want to take out of the P3 is the sound card. It's only a SB Live Value but it sounds good and I don't have the funds to buy a good one. Where can I pick up a decent quality sound card for no more than $20-30 bucks? The ex wont need any thing extream as she's not heavy into gaming and the only thing my daughter plays atm is Zaboomafoo. She's onnly 5:) :D :) Thanks!

The turtle beach Santa Cruz is pretty cheap and from what ive heard from people like Pinky, you may want to keep it over the SBLive...

Whoa a 5 year old daughter getting a 800 system, while I'm here stuck on 575 lucky her!

Since your in canada your prices would be in canadian dollars right?

Well I would recommend

Sound Blaster Ensoniq 128($30) Thats canadian..

That is a really good sound card for that price it does its job.

Ya, can you say Daddy's little girl. She's got me wrapped:D It's all part of my master plan...get her hooked early and then she can support me in thirty or so years.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to check it out.

The quality won't be as noticable and she won't probably notice it..

i can second that, but it hasnt been too cheap in price like 30 bucks is the cheapest ive seen it....the only problem ive had is getting EAX to work in WinXP, but i dont think Zaboomafoo utilizes EAx :D

What kind of card do you have? Try getting Live Ware if you have a Live! series.
