i have a Laserjet 4ML (mac serial & pc parallel printer) hooked up via a serial/ethernet adapter to my router. my ibook reads it over the network as an appletalk printer and prints to it fine, but no luck on my pc.

i know windows 2000 has a network driver built-in, i've used a win2k box as an appletalk print server before but where can i find an appletalk driver for xp, let alone x64 edition? thanks.

This printer is most probably connected via IPP (Internet Printing Protocl) on port 631/tcp. No clue why OSX would call it appletalk, unless you absolutely know your router speaks appletalk which I doubt.
