7. You will get a confirmation email regaurding the $20... click the confirmation link.
8. Money will be paypal'd to you in less than 24hrs
9. Enjoy!

if anyone does try this out, please PM me so i can email you an invite. why not hook a brother up for $5 when you can?

Yes, it works. I found this 2 days ago and i have been emailing everyone i know about it. So far no one has joined except me. :(

just a tip - If it says your ebay login/password is not valid, all you need to do is go into ebay and change it to another password. also, if you do PM me with your email, i will split my $5 bonus with you. let me know

yes, it works

Easy solution.

Find a relative that doesn't have an account on ebay, sign them up (with their consent), take advantage of the offer, then go to http://pages.ebay.ca/help/account/closing-account.html .

I'm not going to do it due to valuing my personal information just a bit [I really get enough spam] but as long as you don't mind giving out your personal information, this method would ensure against any misuse of your account in terms of bidding without your authorization.

Other than that, this looks too risky

I cannot say if this is good or bad (or I should say, I can't prove it yet), I am saying this company isn't giving you $20 from the goodness of their heart, advertising companies or maybe worse may be a '3rd' party affiliated partners.
The days of Internet companies throwing money out the window are long gone. The monies being paid for your information may not be given to someone or an entity you may be able to trust.

Here's the thing, Ebay is concerned with two things and two things only, making money and growth, BELIEVE ME, if this was something that Ebay thought would help them expand, Ebay would have bought these guys out.
They haven't and until they do, I am not giving this unaffiliated company my Ebay Name, Password and personal data. Not happening for $20 !!

I was going to say the same thing. I got my paypal money and for a while there after, paypal was a good company. Then they became big and greedy like all the other companies.

It's tough for new e-businesses to start up and they have to attract an initial crowd.

On a related note, I personally endorse the service at www.bidnip.com. A friend of mine turned me on to the site a couple years ago. The site is run by a friend of his (so it's run by a friend of a friend). Basically, you pay 25 cents to have their servers automatically snipe the auction for you. This also involves giving out your user information as it requires them to place a bid for you.

First of all, I didn't lock the thread, you must be psychic if you can guarantee nothing bad will ever happen with the information that this company may or may not provide to God knows who, they have not been around long enough to make any assumptions, much less your personal guarantee that everyone and their information will be A-OK.
If people have problems in the future due to this offer, I will send them to you and you can help them recover from any monetary loss, identity theft and any spam they most likely will surely receive in the future.
Don't misread what I'm saying....
I never once said you won't get your money from this $20 offer, I'm saying that I'm not giving a upstart company my Ebay password and personal information unless I am 100% certain it will not be rented, sold, marketed or traded to an unaffiliated company. And the company I give said information has a good track record.

Lastly I wil simply say it's your Ebay Password and user information, if you want to take a chance so be it, better you than me. If you wanted to post your Ebay password on Google, not much I can do to stop you except to tell you it wouldn't be a good idea. What you do is your decision.

Big difference between bidsnip and this Free $20 situation, and how they use the information you provide, with this $20 offer, who knows who gets your information, can they say your information is not rented, bought or sold like Bidsnip states?. Also Bidsnip has been around for some time. I've also heard good things about them, and more important, Bidsnip makes it pretty clear what they will do with your personal information:

Information Sharing and Disclosure
BidNip will NOT sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Information Collection and Use
BidNip collects personally identifiable information include email address, site password, eBay user id, and eBay password, when you register for a BidNip account, when you use certain BidNip products or services, and when you visit some BidNip pages. Additional personal information may be received from our business partners.

Your eBay user information, include UserID and password, is required in order to place auction bids on your behalf. We will NOT use your eBay information for ANY purpose other than submitting bids that were entered through your account. We realize the importance of this data, and store it only in its encrypted form using industry standard 128 bit encryption.

Seems legit as it mentioned at ebay here : http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SolutionsDirectory&subgroup=19&page=details&solutionId=891

But there is long thread about the success (or not) of this at Fatwallet : http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.php?start=0&catid=67&threadid=613143

But for me , giving out the information for $20 is pretty risky , let alone the (possible/likely) cell phone charge you'll receive .

You cant be charged for incoming calls on a cell phone. Only 900 numbers etc. Make a temporary password on your ebay, do the $20 thing at unwired buyer then goto ebay and change your password back. Easy as that, fail-safe.

Sure it's certified Ebay compatible (Your giving them your Ebay password lol) Ebay has no control over what this company does with your personal information, I've already proven this.

..Hey, maybe one day i will use this service, but today is not that day. That day will be when Ebay buys them and in the terms of service they lay out your personal information will not be rented, sold or sharred with God knows who.

Since they sent it from the same name as the name listed on your paypal account. Newegg does this too if they have to refund you after the period that is allowed by PayPal.
