I began having problems with my old comp folding...
After about 1 hour of folding the computer displays BSOD... It looks like it overheating but I don't think this is the matter... I'm now running Prime to determine if this is a heat situation, but I know that when I ran the F@H old vers. I ran it for days and didn't have any gliches...

What do you think could it be?

If it's suddenly overheating it could be the fan on the heatsink, then again it could be a number of other things. RAM. vid card, mobo. It could be the client I suppose. Is it an older version of the client? It might help to get rid of the whole client, work folder, everything and try installing the latest release.

I think the problem is the OS, the comp ran Prime95 just as long, then BSODed me, I restarted to comp and turned everything off, just let it idle. It BSODed me again (wasn't overheating). After I press any key, the comp continues to work and now it folds!!!
I think its something gotta do with the OS (Win98), I'll get the WinXP tommorow or the day after, and reinstall

Whoa... you might have problems running XP. XP is, without a doubt, a resource hog. Looks like you're OK on RAM but CPU power might be a n issue. I'd suggest trying Win2K if you can.

Linux also works too, especially if all you're doing on that is Folding.

I agree with sick boy here, try win2k.

I'm now running WinXP, and folding for over 2 hours now... And it seems not even slower but faster/no change now.
I'll do some benchies later and see if WinXP is worse than the 98.

I found the grapchical client unstable on winxp, but now the new version has been brought out it should work fine!
