$80 MIR on X-Fi Fatality! but will it work from all stores?

hey, I got an email from creative this morning stating that they have some rebates out for graduation. one of these rebates is for the x-fi fatality fps sound card

You will have to buy it from them directly. Reading further, they also want you to include stuff like a packing slip that would pretty much tell them where it was from. So if you do not want to get hosed, then you really ought to buy it thier way and not your own.

So if you have to buy it from Creative directly, that totally kills the deal. Amazon has a better price by $10 without any rebates. Two thumbs down for Creative.

I know! i was hoping it would just be a generic manufacture's rebate that I could buy from Amazon while it was on sale then get the rebate too... I had to read the rebate a second time.
