I had to replace a faulty drive, but my back up drive with all of my important data is unseen by Windows. The bios sees it though. I forgot what to do so XP will recognize it.
Thanks IA
:)
Perhaps assign a drive letter.

right click on mycomputer, select mannage, go do disk management. Select the new drive, create a partition, and format it.

My back up drive is showing up in Disk Management, but has I cannot format because as I said, it has all of my important data--hence back up drive.
It says Disk 1 "Dynamic" "Foreign"--with the yellow Uh Ohhh symbol.
How do I gain access to it w/o losing my data???
Update: Never mind. Figured it out.

I would say uninstall the drive, reboot and let Windows redetect it.
