View Full Version : Where can I get Mortal Kombat
Don't laugh:p Do they make Mortal Kombat for Windows XP (or previous versions of windows that will work on XP)? If so, where can I get it? I remember it used to be one of my favorite arcade games when I was younger and I would like to have it on my computer.

I've got Ultimate MK3 for PC. It came with my old 5700 GFX card. It sux though, I wouldn't bother if I were you. The SNES and Genesis versions were superior.
Any suggestions for a similar type game. I like those type of games because a lot of stuff out now gets so boring. For example, I bought Morrowmind The Elder Scrolls III when it first came out. The graphics were stunning and it was a very expansive layout. What I found myself doing however was wondering around aimlessly. That's hardly what I would call fun. Two of the games that I really like are Return to Castle Wolfenstein and you're going to laugh at this one: KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child.

One Must Fall.....OMG....I remember playing that...found it on a demo disc...made by Epic Mega Games before Unreal cemented their name as a top developer. That game was wicked fun...I was still on BBS's back then before I talked my parents into getting online...the whole BBS held a tournament and we dialed up and played each other. Good Ole days.
For some of these newer games though that ran in DOS you might have problems in XP. Maybe Try Gametap...they have old games...never used them but that might be a route.
Don't forget shooters for instant pick up fun....R-type series, Darius Gaiden, Oooo Metal Slug

Play Diablo and if you're really lucky you'll complete it soon. for me I dragged it up to 3 months but couldn't finish it. That was few years back. I brought it back and this time wiht a cheaty mind I upgrade teh person through a reg mod programme and finsihed the games in 3 whole days! what a relief!!!

The local used game console store here sells complete Sega Genesis systems for $20 with two controllers and all your hookups. I have the original MK - MK3 for it and they were only about $5 each. Why not get a console and game and play it like it was meant to be played? ;)
Back on topic..........I didn't know it was made for the PC..... :p
I need to get Win98 on my DOS box to work. Playing some old DOS games on my TV is going to be fun, but I keep putting it off. I've got it all hooked up and ready to go. I just need a network card an my video drivers to work. :(
