Im looking for some ram to put with a DFI Lanparty UT nF4 SLI-DR to OC an Opteron 165. Most ram buying guides that I have read dont really cover 2GB kits because they have lower OCing potential. As far as price is concerned, just as long as its not ridiculously priced, its ok. Does anyone have a recommendation?

2GB G.Skill Extreme Series DDR500. Some of the newer kits have been hitting up to 280fsb.

Well, how fast do you want this RAM to be running? I do agree, though, that that G.Skill set is a great choice.

Well the opty 165 only has a 9x multiplier so I would think I would have to have a divider to get it to the 2.8 range on water. A 5/6 divider would make to so that the ram will have to be able to sustain 260 mhz (assuming everything works out and I can get it that high).

I highly recommend the G.Skill HZ's ....mine will hit at LEAST 285Mhz stable...haven't tested higher....

Maybe i should, so I can see how high it'll go
