View Full Version : Leadtek question
I just bought a leadtek Gforce3 winfast video card and i must say it is not really any better than my Voodoo 5500. Anyone else seen this kind of thing?
Nick
What drivers are you using?
Lastest Detonator drivers for G3 card. I also want to say that i am comparing pictures in Everquest and in Dark Ages of Camelot both machines setting are the same.
Thanks For your time
Nick
Usually you would see better image quality but what your basically looking for is the specs of the card..
You try playing something like Quake 3 and see how much FPS you would get with Voodoo 5 and the GeForce 3 .. Much difference like at least 40FPS.

You won't really notice a difference in speed or anything if they both get good fps in the game. Do you still have the vodoo?
Yes i still have the Voodoo in my other machine. I usually have 2 or 3 comps up at once. I will run some tests for fps. I dont know what i expected really but everyone was saying how much better it was than Voodoo in these games and i just have not seen it.

Nakom it depends on the games you play..
If you ran counter strike .. There would rare difference.. If you ran Quake 3 or Unreal HUGE difference!
By the way heres a way that you'll be guaranteed to notice a difference go get 3dmark 2001 and then .. Run the tests view the testing and you'll see that in some parts it'll run so slow with the Voodoo and it'll run so fast with the GeForce 3!!

actually Unreal Tourney was designed a lot around the Voodoo SLI and other features, and the Voodoo5 is right up there in Unreal....try Max Payne or 3dMark2k1 and youll see a big difference.....

Ya if you can get a hold of Max Payne then you'd definitely see a difference. The Geforce3 should blow that voodoo away. Same with the 3dMark2001 because(if I'm not mistaken) the ppl that made 3dMark2k1 also either made or helped make the Max Payne engine.
