Hello everyone, I realize I'm in the growing minority of slot1 legacy users here but I'm looking to water cool my PIII-700. I'm not really interested in a resevoir setup, however, since this will be my first attempt, I'm not ruling it out. Any suggestions and or comments would be appreciated. So, here's what I'm looking at:

Waterblock:
Swiftech MCW372 (says slot1 compatible)
D.D. Maze1

Radiator:
Black Ice
D.D. cooling cube

Pump:
Ehiem 1048

Kits:
Little Colorado for Slot1
Aquastealth II

Thanks and look forward to the responces.

I had a Res. with my watercooling kit and I had no problems with air bubbles. With a kit without a Res. you might have some problems with air bubbles. So I would say go with a Res.

with a res there is a change if your water cooling leaks then it will keep on leaking for a long time

But at least it will keep the cpu cool since it won't run out of water for a bit longer than without a res. And you will know there is a problem sooner. Hopefully not because of sparks flying out :D
