OK I have a dell laptop. A new E1505 for 6400 series.

It has a horrible ExpressCard slot and no pcmcia slot. A pcmcia card fits inside but it isn't the right type.

So how to these ExpressCards attach to the motherboard? Does anyone think I could rip out the ExpressCard slot and get a PCMCIA slot and put it in?

Please help, I must have a PC Card in my laptop.

I s've seen it happen on IBM's , but i dont know if its doable in a dell, since these have a similar chasis to the i6000 it oculd be possible with soldering, but I wouldnt risk it.

I would go attack the dell section of the notebookforums

RAAA. Well other than a 145$ converter it looks like I am stuck.

I think I am going to trade my brother for his 6000 :(

Man, I was really happy with dell overall until this. So just a warning to anyone buying a new inspiron. They don't have a PCMCIA slot.
