Ok, Im not for sure but so far this problem seems to only be related to the X1900XT cards.

ATI TOOL does not seem to work correctly with either the beta or official 6.5's. (Before anyone ask I will go ahead and tell you I am disabeling the downlock services from ATI like I always have done)

The problem is that anytime an AVI or MPG file is played your overclocks get downclocked!!! You can be playing a game and all is well but as soon as one of these vid files opens up you can forget about your overclock. I will probably just go back to the 6.3's as this problem does not exist with those drivers and to tell you the truth I have lost about 2fps with the 6.5's in oblivion. That goes for the new chuck patch and the officials.

Back to the 6.3's until someone figures out a fix.

u sure your profiles are setup in ATT?

why you want to OC for avis/mpegs???? I ONLY OC the card when i launch a game....

edit: latest ATT with 6.5 works great for me.

Thats not what im saying. What I am saying is when you play a game that uses AVI, MPG video files it gives you the same problem with downclocks. And yes the profiles are setup in ATT.
