i am wondering, for those that use seti on their primary machines, what % of your cpu is being given to seti.
mine: 42.3%

59.3%, but that is because I did not do SETI for a whole summer. Now I am making up for that double time!

the dedication can be over 100% if they are using more than one pc to crunch with
this seems to be the case with many people and probably the reason why he has 31 hr WU's

all my machines has been running SETI 24/7; however, i didn't really start crunch until i've join this (http://www.ocsetiteam.com) great team early this yr. i had only 20-some WU under my belt before i join the team in Feb/March.

How do I adjust the amount of CPU didication? or is it just all dependent on the number of computers you are running Seti on?
OK eobard.... It's not pretty....
CPU Dedication = Total CPU Time / Total Time Registered with SETI
Total CPU Time can be found under the "total" WU listing... As for total time registered.... That's the hard part. Up at the top of the total screen, it says "Registered on:". This is the date/time you signed up with SETI. Your simple task is to convert this date/time into hours spent crunching to this hour.
Example for me!
Feb, 16 5:22:05 2000
1)Kill the minutes and seconds... It won't affect your result that much...
2) Today is Nov of 2001... That means at least 365 days crunching.
3) Add number of days between Feb 16 and Nov 14 (today) to the 365.
4) Multiply the number of days by 24 to get total hours.
5) Subtract number of hours from #4 equal to time from midnight of the day you signed up to the hour you signed up (17 hours+ midnight.... xxx - 17)
6) Add the number of hours you've been crunching today
7) This is your total time registered!!!
Wasn't that simple???:D
Here's my dedication.... No farms here!

Depends on how many computers and how often they process seti. So if you sign up run it on one computer 24/7/365 your didication would be 1.00, 2 would be 2.00 ect.
