The option is there, but I have no idea which folder it captures to, nor are there any ways to set it to another folder. Any ideas?

just search for .bmp's and you'll find it somewhere. it either places it in its root folder of the video's root folder I think

What version of MPC are you using?
I have version 6.4.9.0, and when I hit "ctrl+I" or File > Save Image... , it brings up a Save As window, asking me where to put "snapshot20060526170546.bmp".

kmplayer -free- has awesome screencap abilities. Has replaced mpc on my pc
