OK...I know this may sound trivial and is a question regarding a difference of pennies, but since I'm a specs shopper, I hate getting taken over misleading features. Does anyone know what the benefits of ball bearings or double ball bearings, in case fans might be? Noise level? RPMs? etc. I've seen these things advertised for $2 (with no mention of ball bearings) to $15 (with name brand labels) and I can't tell the difference.

Ball bearings have about 3 times the working life of sleeve bearings, but are slightly noisier.

There are a few retailers that have nice fan compairson charts. The only one I can think of right now is Jameco, but there are others.
