View Full Version : Case Cooling Dynamics
Are there any good rules of thumb regarding case cooling? e.g. If I add a case fan to the rear, should I use a higher speed (albeit louder) fan in the front to compensate for the power supply fan? i.e. Should the intake cfm = the output cfm?

I think you will get many different opinions on this. Most it would seem, like to see slightly positive pressure, including myself ( more in than out). It is also important to cover all transient holes or gaps with tape to only allow air in and out via the fans.

however the thing to aim for is equal air in and out and if you cant get it then positive air flow is better.
