Hey there.
I've been using this great psu for almost a year now.
lately the fan is screaming like hell - it became so loud that i bought a thermaltake 470W psu till i get this situation solved.
what can I do ? clean the fan ? replace it ? send it to PCP&C ?
thnx !

Have you tried contacting PCP&C?
They could advise.
buy new PSU :)
If you pay 230 bucks for a Great PSU, you shouldnt have to buy another one because it is way to loud

if you call them they can customize the fan circuitry to make the fan quieter or ask them if they can put in a more slient fan

DO NOT take the PSU apart for any reason, as doing so will instantly void your warranty. You only need to contact PCP&C directly (like greenmaji suggested) at 1-800-722-6555, and explain to them that the fan in your PSU is making an extremely loud noise. You'll need to supply them with your original invoice / purchase order number, at which time they'll issue you an RMA.

OCZ PowerStream 520W SLi is another choice for him and save almost half of the money, as far as the performance goes it's not far away and alot quiet than PC P&C 510W SLi since he can't stand the noise of PC P&C 510W SLi, all of 510W SLi from PC P&C are loud

First, talk to PCP&C. People say they have excellent support.
If that doesn't work, then try blowing out the PSU with compressed air. Another thing you can do is remove the rear fan grill, and then peel back the sticker on the fan exposing the bearings. Use a high quality lubricant like tuner cleaner or something equally easy-flowing that can help clean the bearing as well. Replace the sticker and put the fan guard back on. It should help a lot.
If that fails over time or doesn't work well enough for you and you cannot get the PSU repaired by PCP&C, and your electrical skills are at least at a medium level, then try to replace the fan with a new one, preferably a Panaflo, or maybe a low speed Delta. They seem to last forever.

I am also inclined to believe that all your PSU, and maybe even your entire case, needs to be sprayed down with some compressed air. If that doesn't work then call PC&C for the RMA.
They do have excellent support which I've experienced firsthand.
Heck, I once called them with some technical problems and they wanted me to make sure that I was having inadequate PSU problems before shelling out $200 for theirs.
