i can`t push any more my cpu because the system crash and i must take off the baterry of motherboard to return the system back.

the ram is one sdram 256 mb133 mhz and one 64 mb 133 mhz

can anyone tell me how can i push more my cpu ?

thanks

p.s. : the temperatures is 27 C - 36 C

Let me see you have a duel CPU MB? well i know some of them dont overclock as well as a single CPU MB but some have no problem with one CPU so i'll see what i can add. It would be nice to know exactly what make of MB you have. Anyway if you can disable sideband in the registry this will help with the VIA chipset. What FSB are you running? Do you have quality ram? Are you running it above 133? sometimes having 2 sticks of ram can bring instability. Sometimes different pieces of hardware may not like running out of spec try just the basics video card one stick of ram and see if that helps and now to some basic stuff what CV [corevoltage] are you running? if your running with default then this would be a good place to start. If your running your ram above 133 try running at minus clock speed and let us know how your doing.

thanks for the answer.

1) i don`t know exactly what make of MB i have. Can you suggest any programme to find it ?

2) how can i disable the sideband in the registry ?

3) i`m running at 115 FSB x 8 = 920

4) i thing i have quality ram ( cas 2 ) but run at 115 mhz. the first time i use only 256 mb ram 133 mhz but the only thing i done is to has the fsb to 115 - 120 mhz.( the same with 2 sticks ).

5) the corevoltage running with default

6) i`m running my ram below 133.( at 115 the same with cpu .when i run the cpu above 120 mhz the system crash)

@ Nilson

Hi.

Take a look in your Bios. Is there an option wich is called ECC L2 Correction or ECC L2 Cache then set it to disabled.

I`ve some different problems with Celli 600@900. Several freezes, crash, reboots, boot failure and so on. Since i disabled this Bios-Option my PC run over 3/4 year without any probs.

Maybe this can help you.

Ciao

Try downloading Sisoft Sandra.

Yeah I would start by upping the voltage but I would have to say your temps are a little high for default voltage so what kinda cooling you using. I am guessin that you meant 27= system and 36 cpu. Get a alpha for your cpu and a 486 for your norhtbridge. If you want better luck at running at default voltage. Use a good thermal paste too, like artic silver.

2) how can i disable the sideband in the registry ?

look in the tips section under videocard performance directions will be in there.

3) i`m running at 115 FSB x 8 = 920

no problem with ram, two sticks may not even give you a problem since your not out of spec.

4) i thing i have quality ram ( cas 2 ) but run at 115 mhz. the first time i use only 256 mb ram 133 mhz but the only thing i done is to has the fsb to 115 - 120 mhz.( the same with 2 sticks ).

this i believe is your biggest problem try raising it just a little if your default is 1.7 try 1.75 and maybe 1.8, heres the problem with raising CV when you do your CPU will run hotter unless you get a good HSF [heatsinkfan] i would make sure your CPU does not get over 45C under full load the cooler the better. [under 40C is better] Overclocked CPU's tend to get finicky about temps. If you have the sticky thermal tape now then at the minimum go out and get some radioshack thermal compound and apply a thin coat under your HS, [AS-2 is better] if you plan to overclock as high as you can you will need a good HSF and atleast two case fans, heres a trick that will help make sure your rear case fan blows in not out this will blow cooler air straight to your CPU HSF which will help to keep temps down, have your front fan blowing the hotter air out. And as was said getting a HSF on your northbridge will help if you run high FSB speeds but for now your probably fine if you have a greenie you can always put some thermal compound under it.

6) i`m running my ram below 133.( at 115 the same with cpu .when i run the cpu above 120 mhz the system crash)

After raising CV checking temps and disabling sideband [if its an option] let us know how your doing.
