So i had the box in my hand at Fry's but they wanted $370 I wanted it [and how] but the price seems to be a little high so i had to put it back on the shelf, well after reading around i think it was a good thing does anyone know of a place to buy one cheaper I was reading about the Gainward ti550 for 325 so i guess thats the number to beat any help? or is that still the going rate if you want a ti500, other ideas are welcome as i'm not 100% stuck on the ti500 but leaning that way.

....Just going to add something to Placid's useful info

Always cross reference the pricewatch vendor with Resellerratings.com (http://www.resellerratings.com/b.html)

Heres the vendors feedback thus far (http://www.resellerratings.com/cgi-bin/reseller/vendone.cgi?BeyondComputerInc)

BTW thats the card Im going to upgrade to soon as Leadtek's always have been good performers for me anyway.

www.newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com) Very credible online dealer and they sell the PNY G3 Ti500 for 310 shipped and the Leadtek for 310 dollars but the Leadtek isnt in stock.

You can't go wrong with Newegg. When they list an item in stock IT IS IN STOCK AS OF THAT SECOND. Just make sure your order clears and it's yours. Their stocking inventory is in real time.

They also ship FAST, like the next day.

I bought a Leadtek Ti 500 one day and the price dropped $20 the next day, when the item shipped out. They were nice enough to credit me the $20! But I wouldn't try asking for this a couple of days after the order was placed.

Also, you can return stuff to Newegg, even a video card! You have to pay a 15% restocking fee, though. But with most web vendors, forget it, no way you can return anything unless it is defective.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE TI500 THEN GET THE ABIT SILURO...this is the best overclocker with stock cooling of all the brands
