SQL database / phpmyadmin?

Hey'all

I wanna use a small SQP database for organising some of my stuff and a friend of mine recommended downloading phpmyadmin...now i did so but i have no idea where to begin lol. I'm running XP pro...who can help me out?

What kind of stuff are you looking to organize? Do you have a SQL database setup yet? If not, go ahead and get the community edition of MySQL from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html.

Okay the SQL thingy is working and i can do stuff using the console but i'd like the fancy web interface that i saw my friend using...let me just go mess around with that phpmyadmin.
