Finally finished FEAR

well, i got FEAR about 5 days before anyone on this board and ive only just finished it! WOW....what an ending. the bit where alma walks like the freaky chick outta The Ring (the movie) and makes wade explode.....freaky stuff....overall, great game. cant wait for the expansion

I finished it in about three days, would have done it in one sitting but once it got dark outside I had to turn it off cause the game scared the **** out of me, LOL

I agree, that was one of the best and probably the scariest endings I have ever seen. Just the thought of that ending chopper scene makes the hair on my back stand up.

I loved her containment field...like a weird inverted blackhole...and the sounds it made...very cool it was creepy to look at.

the scenes and the plot of that game are big-screen movie capable.

it was just like an interactive movie for me

lol. i suppose i could have finished it in about 2-3 days. but i too got scared while playing it and even uninstalled it cos i was too scared.....lol. i did scream like a girl at the end when to space/time tears happened and u were being stalked by the demons and the floor falls through.....damn that **** me up..

Haha. Yeah... same happened to me. I had played the demo before playing the full game, so I sort of knew what to expect, especially the long hallway in which Alma walks up to you on the ceiling. That was the part I just had to quit on the demo. So when I was playing the full game, I had a bunch of people come over just so I can get through that part.

I literally fell back in my chair and wound up on the floor at the beginning part, where you are on the roof and you are going between a couple of Air conditioning units and the guy you are after comes around with a 2x4. but then again suround sound and max video settings tend to help make the game more realistic.

Like I said, I don't own the game yet. But I do beleive you guys, as I played some of the demo and that alien darting around in the shadows sure set the tone. I really should get it... I'll have to check that barterbee thing. ;)

Well I too finally finished the game .... mostly due to system upgrades made while owning the game (basic rig , v/card ,s/card , monitor) . So with the upgrades to my system I HAD to go and replay it for the most part just to enjoy the game all the more . Definitly worth the price , and a whole lotta fun . A must have/play game for any gamer .
Cant wait for the next install/version/add-on . :beer:

Now Iam good and ready to play HL2-EP1 :D

I'm still fighting my way through it. I also screamed like a little girl when the guy shows up with the 2x4. Right now I'm playing a lot of FEAR multiplayer. I cant believe how fun the MP is, especially with the small assortment of weapons and maps.

same here if your tactical you can beat the first 3 or four intervals without even taking a single bullet. i never reall found FEAR scary or freaky i thought doom3 was much freakier and i hate freaky games but love fear.

does it say disconnected from server? i got that after the 1.04 patch when loading single player for some weird reason.
