I read tualatin package differs from previous one for the different power supply but i don't know the particulars. I read that exists a slot1/fcpga2 converter, to use tualatin processors on slot1 based mainboards. So, i thought, may be it's possible to modify some pins of the new processor to use it in a via133a mainboard. It is possible to do so?
Anybody knows a site where anyone has tryed it out?

I don't believe it's possible, either. If it was, Powerleap wouldn't be able to get the big bucks for their converter, however their converter is much more than a simple slocket. It's almost the equivelent of a mini-motherboard, since it handles all of the voltage needs outside of the motherboard's capabilities. Actually, for someone wanting a short term upgrade, it probably makes more economic sense than a new motherboard, since the Tualatin's life is supposed to be very short, comparitively. They plan to go to 1.5 next year, then it's ride is over. Outdated motherboards again.

Yeah I ma not sure. I would rather get a mobo that will hit 1.6 GHz than the adapter which is limited to in spec operation. I have heard no good news of its OC'n ability. Most can't run it over 105fsb while I am running 133. The adpter and the chip together cost 160 without tax. The celery and a new mobo were $250 and I am at 1600MHz no problem now. They don't even have software that will utilize 1600MHz out really yet. I am sure XP will like that speed but it is still overkill for that OS too. Bought ready to through mine into my box. Kinda weird I thought I had a dead ST6 as also a dead 100mb zipper but it came back to life with my ST6 too. Today is a good day:) THe ASUS board had some weird quirks about it. SOmething was wrong in the voltage area. WHne I would check my bios my voltages would be normal but then when I would boot windows the voltages would go down in SANDRA and ASUS probe. With my ST6 they are normal. I also found my AGTL voltages were sky high with my ASUS and with the ST6 it is normal at 1.25v. On the ASUS these were at like 1.7~ 1.9v. Might explain why it crashed liek it did. Going to RMA it and hopefully I can get the ST6 instead with raid. Might have to build two of these puppies.

The Abit BE-6 II is a beautiful board..

I would trade it in for the iwill bdu and the celeron 1.2 tually.. you would get such a good overclock.

i have read the new celeron 1200 can reach easily 1500 mhz...  so can try higher

Yes the new 1.2 are the Tualatins..

And you'll be able to hit 1.5 gig with

1. Cooling (Of course)
2. A good motherboard!

those are basically the main things.
