Guys,
I have an a Classic Athlon 550 Slot A, On a K7Pro ATX IR3 Mobo, with 192Mb PC100 SDRam, Ive looked around AMIBIOS V1.21a which is on my machine and the only adjustable feature seems to be the FSB clock speed!!! am I missing something here???, memory doesnt seem adjustable.

I can get the machine running stable @619MHz (FSB 112) but any higher and I get no boot....with the need for speed, and little money, what can I do next???

Thanks in advance Dang:D

Far as I know only way to overclock the classics are via the system bus like you're doing or to get a gold finger device which allows you to unlock the multiplier. Don't know where to get one though.

If you can get some better cooling, even though I don't know what's on there now, you might get a little more out of it. Make sure you're using PC133 memory as well or else that may be holding you back.

Thanks for the response, I cant put anything else but PC100 memory on that board!!! so the manual says!!!, Ive had it at 636MHz @ 115FSB, but that didnt last long!!!

Whats a Goldfinger device? can u describe what it does and where it goes?

Thanks Dang:D
