DX 8.1 opinions? [Archive] - Overclockers Forums

Just wanted to see what people think of the 8.1 drivers from the post below, those of you who have installed them see any improvements/glitches?

No real difference for me, I've used all the beta builds and each one was fine. No drop/increase in 3dMark or change in game performance.

The download I tried (and it WAS the 2000/XP version) didn't even recognise my OS as Win2000.

i installed it i think it was a 60pt increase, but oi DID gain some overclocking ability for my card

I haven't really done anything very 3D intensive with them yet, however.

No better and No worse. It didn't mess anything up for me, so I have no opinion outside of it seems the same as 8.0a.:)

My son was having some freezing problems when he was gaming, since downloading the new Dirext X 8.1, so far so good. Otherwise no noticable difference.
