Hi all,

Some advice needed. What memory should I choose to hit 270mhz or greater? Voltage is limited to 2.85V in my bios, and i don't want to mod the board. Also, I don't like really hot ram that will require active cooling, which adds more noise, basically.

currently I run a pentium m at 2700MHz on an asus P4C800-E Deluxe with 2x1024Mb of Kingston HyperX. But these modules max out at 238.

Please help.

Any good TCCD-based ram. G.Skill tends to be the most popular, PQI/PDP and some others would also work fine. Heck, anything PC4400 (275MHz) rated would work for you.

That sounds good, but are there any 1GB-dimms with TCCD? Or must I buy 4x512, which will cost more, I suppose? Btw, thanks Gautam.

I'm close to buy some g.skills with Samsung UCCC on brainpower pcb, rated with DDR500, since TCCD don't come on 1gb sticks.
This kit:
G.Skill F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ | Samsung UCCC and B6U808-PCB

Good choice?

Maybe my kingston is not that bad? Infineon BE-5 are on them. Do they require higher voltages? If yes, I order a OCZ booster, which is able to push the voltage to 3.6V on my mainboard and a good, silent fan.

I'm going to buy these OCZ Platinum PC4000 enhanced bandwidth OCZ5002048EBPE-K 2x1024, latencies are 3-3-2-8 at DDR500, and they are rather cheap. The g.skill kit with those timings is too expensive for me as a student.
