Hi,

Just got a P3 Slot 1 (SECC2) 1GHz to upgrade the 450MHz unit that came with my Asus P3B-F m/board. Trouble is, I now can't find a supplier (in the UK) for the fan/heatsink assembly I need for this baby - all the usual guys just say it's "old stuff" and not available any more. Can't believe that, so I'm appealing for help from you guys........

From what I understand , the Cooler Master DS2-5FD3 should do the job, but I'll go with whatever works.

Does anyone out there know of someone who can supply what I need? - preferably in the UK, but I'll buy from the States if necessary.

Please post suggestions here or e-mail me direct to steve2uk@hotmail.com.

Thanks in advance!

Steve

Surely slot1 p3's come with a heatsink attached, or did you want something a bit more aggressive...

Just found this...

Hi - and thanks for the quick reply!

Didn't know about www.theoverclockingstore.co.uk - looks perfect and I'll get on to them. Already tried the other guys (and others) with no success.

I bought the P3 through E-Bay and it came minus fan/heatsink (the seller did say so at the time - I just didn't realise it would be such a big deal to track it down). Just want to get the new P3 up & running first - overclocking comes next !

Thanks again.

Steve:)

Just happened to catch me :)

overclockingstore are good as they have free delivery, often worth paying a little extra to save on the delivery, especially on small items.
