View Full Version : Will p2b-f run P3 1.10 Ghz fc-pga 100fsb????
Hi people,
i am planning to upgrade my p2 400 to p3 1.10Ghz fc-pga 100fsb on my p2b-f.
On the asus motherboard newsgroup a guy say p2b-f supports up to 1.10Ghz if i use the asus s370-dl slotket.
Can anyone confirm it? Because i emailed Asus tech support , and they just simply say "No" p2b-f not support 1.10Ghz.
If Any one successfull with this, Could you give some tips please.
THanks so much
Willy

is it a bx board? if so t will, but only with a slocket, ASUS said no because it is not compatible iunless you use a slocket, just make sure you dont order a tualatin....
It won't detect that chip seeing that is Socket 370 and... You'll definitly need a Slotket.
I forgot to add.. You'll need a slotket to detect the chip seeing it is a slot motherboard.
Yeah, Asus p2b-f using BX chipset.
And i have thought so i have to use A voltage adjustable SLOTKET.
Does the Motherboard will automatic detect the slotket that have the P3 chip attached on it?
So the P3-1.10Ghz will work on the P2B-F from the replies.

Yah, the Slocket that's compatible with Celeron/P3 Copper will work on your mobo therefore the P3 1.1Ghz will work on your mobo. ;)
Though... If you can get a new motherboard you'll have way more advantage of that chip and of course overclocking..
