crossfire and dual display setup question(s)

I'm building a setup on an Asus P5WD2-E Premium motherboard.

I just read up more on the mobo and it's Crossfire ready so I'm thinking of
trying it out.

How does Crossfire work exactly with 2 monitors?

Can both monitor run Crossfire mode or is it like SLi; one screen gets disabled?

The mobo works great with crossfire. However, what you're trying to do won't work. Crossfire combines signals from both cards to output to a single monitor. You can probably use something like Matrox dualhead2go to split the signals back out to 2 monitors.

You can setup dual monitor mode with a single card not in crossfire mode, because the cards have 2 DVI outputs.
