I hope no one takes this the wrong way, but having come back after being away for some time, it does not seem like things have been keeping up with the times around here. I've been reading, checking the stickies and such, and the only thing that seems to be pertinent now are the ones on setting up BOINC and the new avatars. There's outdated team race stats from the old SETI, there's info on setting up a WU cache, etc. It seems like it's time for some house cleaning.
Then there's our 'official' website. It's stuck in a state of suspended animation from when the old SETI shut down. There's nothing new on there for BOINC...no new stats, no new benchmarks, no new downloads to useful utilities.
Has interest died around here or something?!?!?

you are correct, the site is way way out of date.
I miss old Seti benchmark where we all crunched single WU and post results.
Now its too complicated with all those optimized clients out there and dual core or HT cpus you cant compare results properly.

Things got heated in the past when I and others complained about this. Many things need to change around here, I'll just leave it at that.

I would have no problem volunteering to put together a new SETI Team page...if I had access to the server. I imagine the domain name will be expiring sometime in the near future as well?

Hello all I haven't been around in awhile but thought I would stop in to say, HI. I have to say, I agree with all the comments. If I remember correctly and maybe I'm wrong, but I think TC has all the info anyone would need to update the website.
I'm sorry but I would think if it was a general consensus among all or the majority, that it could be changed with NO problems.
I'm looking forward to contributing more in the near future hopefully things will start slowing down.
If you're looking for stats, I host an up to date stats page for our BOINC team here: http://ghanima.hopto.org/ocseti/
I also wouldn't mind helping out with updating the website, I'm halfway decent at web design/programming.

Something showing rank changes, the ressurection of the gold jacket, a passing lane, I miss those features of the old website and setiatwork.com...

I attemted to email TC by using the email address provided on the team website and I received the following error:
<admin@ocsetiteam.com>:

Giving up on 63.251.83.84.

And I take it no one has heard from him for some time? That stinks...we may need to resurrect it ourselves. I'm going to see when the domain expires. I'd be willing to register and admin it if someone were to provide the hosting. I can't, because I've got ComcASSt. ;)

UPDATE: Oct. 8, 2006 it expires. I may put a wait on it. That way, if Tim never re-registers it, at least it can't be snatched out from under us by some rival team.
Sorry for being out of the loop so long. Somebody had built a new stats page that was being automatically updated daily with stuff like the old page had. I don't know if that's no longer being updated. Kris aka Morpheus in the forums built the original site, and several months ago he suggested we retire the look of that one and get somebody to build a new style for boinc. I have too much going on to work on something, but I can keep hosting the site.

Well, I volunteer...do I have a 2nd motion?
Sounds good - BTW the boinc stats are evidently still being updated everyday:

I'm looking forward to the web site getting dusted off, but in the meantime setiatwork is back online:
