Hello People,
I found this:
WB: Alphacool NexXxoS SLI Compatible Northbridge Block
Link:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Alphacool_478.html
It takes a G1/4 tubing...I am getting a Swiftech ultra kit with the storm thing.
Will these two work together OK?
If they wont then, what options do I have for WCing the chipset on the SLI-DR?
I looked into this before and came away confused...please help me.
Thanks!

It takes G1/4 fittings which is not the tubing size.
Anyways, that block is needlessly restrictive.
Your best bet would be to move the vid card to PCIe slot#2 and rejumper the board to "SLI enable" (you'll see minimal, if any, hit to framerate doing this).
Moving the card thusly will uncover the northbridge and allow usage of a DD Maze block or the Swiftech equivilent- either of which would work better with your soon-to-arrive kit.

With the 2 GTXs..the top gtx covers the chipset. Thats the only thing I hate about this mobo...its soooo not WCing friendly....and they designed it for OCers....ooo...the irony...
Clocker2...do u know anyone who has actually got SLI and WCed the chipset on the DFI range? It seems whenever I ask this question I never get a decent response...a pic would be nice.
I mean the dfi mobo for a64 is meant to be like a OCers wet dream mobo so...please someone help put my mind at ease.
Thank u so much....oh clocky...thanks...I am starting to think the only way to get cpu/chipset WCing setup installed is to change mobo...which I dont want to do as there is nothing majorly wrong with this one. U cant even put in a chunkier cooler on it as the damn gpu is in the way...why did nvidia create these huge gpus..make it taller not bloody wider u gits...[start crying]
Check out this (http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=21_32&products_id=115) waterblock, it's not restrictive and it's designed in such a manner that it does't interfere with your graphic card.

How much do you need to overclock your NB? mines at 334 with the stock cooler and the fan only becomes noisy when it goes 55 degrees or more...which only happens when gaming.

celada...had a look. Looks good...do u know who has this installed on a dfi mobo...dont trust what is actually said on the website that much
jiv...I hate it when the chipset fan spins up...sounds disgusting...its the only thing I can hear as all the other cooling parts are pretty silent for me.

yeah, it is a pretty obnoxious sounding fan at full speed. But in my case it only spins up that fast when I'm gaming...so either I have the sound to drown it out, or I'm wearing headphones.
I'd say a great place to ask/check out about the waterblock fitting would be dfi-street.com I think I may have seen something about it there before.
I'm going to ask on a local forum here if anybodi installed it on a dfi mobo
Well nobody on my local forum has a setup similar to yours or if they have they use subzero cooling so there is noone there that could help you. My sugsetion is that you contact the guy yourself and explain him your situation.

I would really recommend you skip watercooling the NB (it doesn't NEED to be cooler for overclocks). The only issue then is the noise. You can get an evercool fan to fit, and it should be quiter (and will certainly not be heard over your RAD fans)
If you goto DFI-Street.com you will see in the tutorials section and in the cooling section that these fans easilly fit and also they don't void the warranty (if you don't screw up the MB)
Well I got back some info. It should work, because the block is made for this motherboard :)
