$.27/GB damn that's tempting.
Don't know whether I'd rather have 2 of these or 2 of the 250gb Sata2 drives from the other thread... tough decision.

Note the 1 year limited warrenty. Maxtors are cheap for a reason.

Thats why I try and stick to Segate and their 5 year warrenty.

Some Maxtors have 5 Year warranties, the 6 250GB drives I have in my Server all have 5 year warranties and they are maxtor.

Ain't that the truth! No wonder why they were bought out by a company that offers a 5 year warranty on all their drives. How will that acquisition affect MIR's and warrantees? Please do tell, since I also have a Maxtor drive that fails when I run the Maxblast software(or whatever its called).

When my 80 gig Maxtor died last year, i selected the "Ship out new drive, and I send back when i receive new drive" option. it arrived in 2 days, I sent mine out the next day.
