Need your help guys and gals. Got a new MB, Asus TUV4X. Old MB was a bit on the twitchy side, so I got a new one so I can get some work done without having blue screens and the like. The CPU is a celly 800, cooling with a modified Alpha PEP66 (delta screamer) and ASII. The thing is, I can't get it to go past 1 gig, and unfortunately, I can't adjust the Vcore. It's stuck at 1.70V. I can however adjust the V I/O from 3.3V to 3.6V. To me this would be a last resort, as it would probably fry everything else in my system. Cooling so far is good as far as I can tell with MBM, I'm giving myself a leeway of 10°, meaning that if it's reading 35° I'll just go on the assumption that it's 45°. Anywhoo, as soon as I try to push past 1000, it won't even post, but runs stable at 1000. Anyone have any ideas other than water cooling, or the wire wrap trick?

Sounds like you have the cooling under control, so the main thing left is a voltage increase. That CPU is a cC0 stepping with the default of 1.7v, so it's a good candidate for the wire wrap trick. Seems weird that you can't change the voltage on that board, you've obviously tried changing the BIOS setting to "user define" right?

I believe you'll hit 1.1gig but not with the help if the wire wrap trick.

Unfortunately, there is no user define for the voltage in the BIOS on this board. :( i flashed it with the latest BIOS, and now I can select the only choice it gives me now (1.7). It does however look like Asus might add voltage adjustments to future BIOS versions, but not just yet I geuss. The first revision wouldn't even list the Vcore. I may wait a little for the next BIOS revision, before I go and do the wire wrap. Hopefully they'll add in the Vcore adjustment s to the next revision. Thanks for the quick replies!
