Im trying to convert multiple AVI files to a single DVD, I have about 22 350MB files that I need to burn to a DVD that will be capable of being read by a DVD player, I found this (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avi_to_dvd_avi2dvd.cfm) guide, it uses the program Avi2DVD but it seems that rather than for multiple files it is for single large avi files, is there any way I can burn multiple AVI files to a DVD and for example have a menu for selection of which file.
thnx in advance

You could always paste them together into one large file and then stick in some chapters.

how would I do that? wouldnt it be hard to make the chapter markings accurate at the end of each episode? also if u burn the files what size would it be played on a dvd player, in windows media player the screen is quite small untill I double click to maximize will the dvd player play it at the maximized size or the original size?
also this question is a bit off topic but when I try to play the episodes in WMP the voice is out of sync with the images, is that a codec problem?
I use nero visionexpress for this is an ideal wizard interface and generates it own menu which u can select each clip you want using a dvd player, chances are its already on your pc if you have nero

Try another media player. Media Player Classic or VLC would be my recommendations.
Try this for the voices being out of sync:

I find Nero vision express the easiest to uses to make that kind of DVD
What player to use.. I use WMP, Divx and Nero
The voices out of sync could be your capture card, its best to use one with hardware encoding, what one do you use ?

win dvd creator is good, but make sure you have the right layer dvd's, i accidently got -'s instead of +'s...
p.s, your not burning lost by any chance are you? :P
I use TMPGe. It allows you to convert multiple format, including AVI, to other types including DVD. You can specify PAL or NAL and what resolution you want (kinda limited like most though). You can choose if you want interlace or progressive scan. Then there is a program called IFOedit, that will author your newely MPEG file ready for a burn to dvd. You can use nero to make your chapter ends or a program like it. Then you just add the files and burn the dvd.
There is also DVDSanta with a avi-dvd option.

If I use nero vision how can I make the burned episode screen size bigger, like on WMP you can maximize is that possible?

Its ok i found the option for changing quality and size, when the episodes are being exported and there is a small screen in the corner of the window playing the episode is it normal for it to be very jerky and not smooth?

hmmm I was wrong the quality and size settings I found were for exporting the files, is there any way I can just resize the files, or do I have to re encode them by exporting with new size and quality?
thnx

argh lol I just started burning and it says it will take 8 hours! its only nine futurama episodes and ive got another 4 seasons to burn :(, is there any way to speed this up??
On the speed side of thing, I found it came down to two things..
1..the file format that Nero needs to convert
and
2... The Power that you are playing with ie your CPU and Ram
If you are using whats in your sig, then that sound about right, sorry mate.
