I read the sticky on flashing the video bios for OCing, but i'm not wanting to flash for that. I want to flash my 6800GT just to get the thing to possibly work in another computer. It's a PNY Geforce 6800GT AGP and I was wondering if

A) Anyone knows what drivers I need exactly (i'm not sure where they are I couldn't find them on the PNY website or even what they are called)

B) If this may allow the card to function in another computer and actually post, rather than causing my power light to flicker (it seems to be a compatability issue according to the techs at both PNY and Gigabyte who made my k8nsc-939 board). They both cant give me a real solution and say it's "very strange".

I've got other threads about this so if anyone could help me out with just getting the bios flashed i'd really appreciate it i'd rather not have to buy another motherboard if it's not necessary.

There is the possibility of a corrupt BIOS, but if it's working in the source computer, that's not it. I think you may be confusing the Video card BIOS with The video card drivers. Or I could just be totally dumb and I'm mis-understanding the question. So, I'll just tell you how to flash a bios, and install a driver, I think that's what you're getting at. you can flash the BIOS as follows:
Go on you manufacturers or other website and download a bios update. Download nvflash and make a floppy disk with nvflash and the file you downloaded on it. also make an MS_DOS boot disk. Start the comp, and boot with the boot disk, once you get a command line, take it out and insert the floppy with nvflash on it. Type: A:nvflash -4 -5 -6 (name of BIOS file).rom
Wait till it says completed, then reboot.

For the Driver issue, download nvidia forceware 84.21, 84.56,or a 9x beta driver. I think the 21's will be fine, but any one will do. Uninstall the current driver in Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device manager. Restart, and install the new one.

If i'm just dumb and don't understand the question, post and I'll do the best I can.

You are not dumb man, it's just that I figured since I haven't done anything else that it may just need updated video bios drivers so that when the power hits the motherboard it's not working with it can initiate and start the card, rather than freak out as it does. PNY doesn't have any updated bios files so I found some revised ones from another place and am attempting to try those, so far I get the message that it can't open the bios file i'm trying to write on to my card with.
