Could it be caused by a not powerful enough psu? its a cheap 300w (still waiting for my rma'ed Enermax 431w) I dont know what else it could be:confused:
hows your heat looking......a lot of boards reboot at certain temperatures:D

What operating system. If win2k go to control panel advanced startup and recovery system failure and uncheck automatically reboot

check your ram,or ram settings
they are a frequent cause of unexplained reboots

This started happening since i installed Windows XP (since it came out) it does it about 2 times in like 6 hours, but still i would like to know what it is. As for my ram, i doubt it would be because of that. It could be a temperature issue, my chip runs fine at 41c idle and 46c load but my board does run a bit hot sometimes, it usually reboot after i exit a game. I was playing BG and when i exited it rebooted. Must be a Windows app? I do plan on getting a better case but im still reading some reviews. Im considering the Lian-Li PC60 or the Antec SX1030B. Or if i have the money, one of those awsome looking Coolermaster cases
:)
Like it or not the SBlive! may cause instability. Got the latest windows update drivers, running the new creativeXP drivers or gone for the built-in XP drivers? It does appear to matter.

If it's a low-quality PS like you said, then I'd pin my hopes on the 430W PS that you RMAed getting back. It's possible that previously mentioned remedies could work too. If they don't at least you've got something to do in the meantime.:D

I didnt think about the SB card. It might be that, ill try the onboard sound, could be worth the shot.

dont bother fiddling iwth the onboard, just go to system properties/device manager/click on vidoe sound etc/double click on sb live! and choose disable, then when you want it back again choose enable!

I could do that but in the meantime i wouldnt have any sound... If i enable the onboard, which i hear is pretty good on the Dragon, ill have a good way of knowing if its the SB live.

I was saying that if u follow the steps you could identify it being the SBlive! Instead of fiddling with drivers...
Believe its PSU or SBLive!..
Money is on SBLive though.

I just thought of something. Could it be the spread spectrum interfering with my hard drive or another device? Anyway, i enabled it, its disabled by default. I guess ill have to wait and see.

where is control panel "advanced startup"?

Im running WindowsXP but i found the same thing. I unchecked it, so ill have to wait and see what results i get from it. Im pretty sure its a Windows app because it started happening the same day i installed XP. Wish me luck!

Turn off spread spectrum... Its only use, (that I know of) is to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interferance). I've never seen it make a system anything but less stable...

Check your voltage, if the volts go too low the mobo will
stop sending 5+ volt power through a perticular line,
thus it will cause the computer to reset.
This is called the power good signal.

go to my computer and then go to properties, then advanced, and startup and recovery. Unchkeck tey three boxes at the bottom. Write event to system log(NO) and uncheck reboot on error(NO) those will make it reboot on almost any error. Uncheck that and your probs should go away. Same with win2k
my friend also had this problem in windows 2000 and in XP, for him the problem was his hard drive was getting too hot! slapped a fan on that puppy and not a problem since :)

Man on every overclockers computer.. Its not even a computer it becomes a tornado with all this fan stuff.. Damnit ;) Just buy an air conditioner and stick in in that CASE! :p JK

I'm not sure what an air conditioner costs, but that doesn't sound like such a bad solution, provided that you've given up on water/bong cooling.

The memory dunp is a feature by micrsoft that records specific
data for the microsoft technical support team to desifer.
You can also look at it yourself through some program on the CD.
This data consists of detailed information about the issue &
settings.
I once got errors during shutdown like that, I reinstalled it
and no nore errors EVER AGAIN!!! http://www.ytec.d2g.com/emoticons/cool2.gif

I went to the microsoft support site and as a possible cure for this problem was a bios update, i just finished and waiting to see if i get the error again.
