plain and simple, my motherboard is not "compatable" with my 6800GT, at this point it would just be best to not scrounge for whats left of AGP motherboards and go with pci express, my eye is on this 7600GT, but only if it excels in the card I already have for AGP.

Yes plain and simple. A 6800GT cannot compete with a 7600GT but I don't understand your last comment about your mobo?

Absolutely no question the 7600GT outperforms the 6800 by a long shot

This could only happen to me, but I contacted both PNY and Gigabyte because when I plug my 6800GT in the darn thing doesn't boot with my computer, the led just flashes off and on and the fans don't spin at their normal speed, they had nothing else to say other than even though they got theirs to work, mine wouldn't and I need to get another motherboard OR another video card, nice huh?
Anyone have any suggestions I could use to fix it or why this is happening other than it's a compatability issue?

it would help if you would please list you complete specs of you system. To me though it sounds like your psu cant handle the load of the 6800gt with everthing else you go going on.

So you are from Austin too eh....
I have an enermax 600 watt power supply so it can take the load, an AMD athlon 64 processor, and really thats all I have running with the card when I test it. it's running on a gigabyte k8nsc-939 board.

Anybody had tried to mount AC NV6 on 7600GT?
because the layout of 7600GT very similar to my old 6600GT.

Are you guys sure the 7600 beats the 6800? I know it is a bigger number and newer, but what games does it beat it in? (if you just say "all of them", stop b eing a smartass and have some proof).

That article says it is about on par with the 6800gt. It has a higher core and mem speeds, but less pixel pipes. So if you already have the 6800gt and expect a huge improvement, you might be disappointed.

Doesn't every card past 7xxx have the transparent AA? I forget waht the heck it is called exactly and what it does, but I think it is better visuals for the HDR?
Or is that the Super Sampling that the 6xxx series did not have.
