I've read the water cooling basics and the suggestions there but I think most if not all of them for for people who OC the snot outta their systems. Which is something I do not do and have no plans too. Been there done that melted a nice video card and don't want to go through that nightmare again.

Anyhow I'm thinking of going water cooling b/c I'm affraid of summer time temps getting to hot for even my case to handle. Also for that time winter temps when the wife cranks up the heater to 80 degrees b/c "she's cold"...bah damn women and their poor circulation.lol

So anyhow what would a some good products to get such a system? Also by the way when I go to do the water cooling I'll probably be running the current system witht he exception of a few changes.

eVGA Geforce 7900GT KO 256-P2-N564-AX Video Card
&
eVGA 123-K8-NF47-AX Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 Motherboard

and then probably upgraded my CPU to a X2 3800+ or higher depending pricing at that time.

I want to liguid cool the CPU and GPU only, and would like some setup that will fit inside my case. The Antec cases are pretty damn solid and large inside so I think it should be big enough to accomidate most liquid cooling setups.

I'd like something I don't have to worry about leaking and is fairly maintance free other then adding new fluid or chaning it when needed. Also would like to try and not spend a fortune on the stuff but again want something of quality so I'm not having to worry about something failing every month etc.

IN the stickies they really didn't say which is better to use 1/2" or 3/8" tubing only that 1/2" is easier to get. Also he talks about the water to Anti-Freeze for the cooling but I've seen some places having cooling liquids which dont' say anything about mixing with water or anything else and seem to be predone or just some blend of their own, are those premade blends good to use? or just stick with Distilled water and Anti-Freeze mixture?

Also are UV reactive dye's an ok thing to use? or not a good idea for whatever reason?

I wish I didn't have to worry about cooling but already on a couple hot days I saw my system get pretty warm and it was like 87-89 degress in the apt so when it gets really hot I'm a bit worried. I wish there was a mini AC unit for PC's that worked really well and reliable. I've seen a case here or there with a AC unit thing inside but reviews I've read say they aren't very good.

And just for an off the wall question any by chance try using Liquid Nitrogen for cooling if you can get your hands on it??? lol

well for starters i think based on the fact your not going to oc your system. A dual 120mm rad would fit the bill. Swiftech has some good products you can find some of them at www.sidewindercomputers.com also check out www.dangerden.com
just how much are you willing to spend. if your looking for low noise the only pumps to look at are MCP350/355, DCC,i know there are a few i have missed. Im not up to date on the whole pumps but have followed the other stuff.

ok cool sounds cool will check out those rads...

Well I don't want something noisier then I have now, but doesn't have to be silent, I don't think my case is to loud but is louder then a normal store bought pc.lol

ok I know in the stickies Kits are looked at being bad etc and not a good idea, I am curious if this is b/c of a OC stand point?

For example I found this kit which seems to get really good reviews Swiftech H20-220-APEX ULTRA CPU Liquid Cooling Kit, though it is only for CPU I would think you could get a GPU water block for it?? Am looking at the Swiftech MCW60 for it. Would this kit run this all without any troubles? Or would be be better off getting everything separate and getting different pump and rad etc?

And again what is easier to work with for tubing? 1/2 or 3/8?
