Thinking of moving to XP soon and I'm just curious to find out if the WU times went up, down or didn't change at all.

In other words what is the fastest OS for the seti command line client? (I use seti driver)

Cheers
Wilbo

P.S. does anyone have a 1min WU they can send me, need it to test a program to cache my seti via linux and telnet...(prog written in JAVA)

Sharkyextreme did a test on the various windows OS's
NT was just above Win2k,then 98,then 95
XP should be around the same as Win2k

I've been running XP for about 10 days now 24/7 seti. It seems like XP is somewhat faster for me than w2k, but running some more WU's will help to confirm that.

I had the problem that changing from 98 to w2k slowed down a little bit, but most probably because my computer wasn't configured well yet. Now it's even better than 98.

XP has been SETI approved by me for now...

I've just started doing seti again and have only pushed out 10 WU's on XP so far and i haven't seen any difference between it and Win 98.
