Alright community,
for the mod I'm currently undertaking I'm stressing peace and quiet as well as visual pleasure. I'm running an Antec Truepower 2.0 480W. I am NOT running SLI or any SATA drives, nor do I plan to with this rig .. ever. So, here's my question.

-> I'm organizing the cables in my case to give it that ohh soo sweet "clean" look. I don't need the second PCI-E power plug or either of the two SATA lines, so i'd like to cut and terminate them. What's the proper way to go about doing this? Scissors and electrical tape???

Thanks again for all the help

I simply cut 'em off, but YMMV

Desolder them from the PSU PCB. That or just cut it then rap the ends in electrical tape.

just find the wires and desolder them like son1990 said, it's easy as anything. I did the same thing on one of mine.

Id personally cut them back and put an inline crimp on them. Insulates the end, and gives you the option of reattaching the wire later should you change your mind.

Tape or heatshrink em

Yeah I'd definitely do either crimp caps, butt connectors, or heatshrink. I don't trust just electrical tape. But anything beyond the simplicity of those tools, you may as well take the effort to desolder like suggested. All depends on your skill and confidence.
