A mate of mine is selling his RAM to me as i am in need of new RAM.

The RAM is DDR PC3200 KINGMAX.

Should i consider buying this? and at what price second hand?

Is this RAM much of an upgrade to my existing 2x 256 SDRAM and 1x 512 SDRAM? both DDR

I run a p4 3.0ghz

here is a screenshot of what my mate is selling:

If anyone can help, it would be much apreciated.

kingmax is usually reliable at stock speed, but don't expect to overclock it significantly. here's the data sheet on that module:
http://www.kingmax.com/support/DDR_333400433_DataSheet.pdf

as for whether it's an upgrade, that depends on what your existing memory is. according to the kingmax datasheet, this module can actually run at 2.5-3-3-8. so if your existing memory is running at, for example, 2.5-4-4-8, then it would make for a slight improvement (though probably not very noticeable).

btw, :welcome: to the forums!

i've got 2x1Gb PC3200 Kingmax. I keep them at slowest (highest) possible latencies as i run them on 240MHz, but i keep the 2.65V and it's stable.
