I curently have a crappy (generic) cable modem so I'm looking at a new 3Com.
Anyone have pros/cons on that modem? Or reccomend another one?

hmm.. i used to use the 3com home connect cable modem (3cr29220). But that modem had some major comflicts with my cable company. It would constantly get disconnected all of a sudden. So i got the toshiba pcx1100u which has worked very nicely. Its also much smaller so i can hide it behind a desk easily. :D

The one I was looking at was the 3CR29223. It's pretty small.
That Toshiba's specs look good though...

Thanks.

I have the older toshiba 1000 cable modem and if the 1100 is anything like it I would go for it. I Have had it for 2 years with no problems.

If your interested in Toshiba, check out the new 2000. I have the PCX 1100 and I'm real happy with it, just not happy with the head ends cap! I've seen this thing scream until the put the brakes on it. :)

See the Toshiba PCX2000 here. (http://www.toshiba.com/taisnpd/products/pcx2000.html)

My Terayon works fine for me. God I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

My Ericsson is really good, but I don't remember the model number.

Cogeco. Why do you ask?

I've got a Terayon and I'm with Rogers. For me it makes more sense for one company to have only one model of modem to worry about (compatibility, repair, installation, etc) so I figured you must be with someone other then Rogers so I though I'd ask.
